Molygen New Generation product line by LIQUI MOLY for special protection against wear

September 2016 – You notice the difference as soon you pour it in: The Molygen New Generation oils by LIQUI MOLY are not brown, but glowing green. The green color signals an especially strong protection that reduces friction in the motor by up to 15 percent and wear by up to 30 percent.

This protection is provided by so-called friction modifiers, more precisely an entire system of numerous of these friction modifiers that are based on wolfram, among others. Friction modifiers are chemical ingredients that smooth the metal surfaces in the motor and even out microscopically small bumps. The reduces friction in the motor and therefore also fuel consumption. They also protect against wear. Compared to conventional motor oil of the same quality, they reduce wear by up to 30 percent.

This is particularly important in urban traffic with its many start-stop phases. When the motor stops at the lights, the lubrication also stops. This means there is a risk of increased wear at the next start. This is where the extra protection by Molygen pays off. This protection increases the service life of the motor and reduces the risk of breakdowns and repairs.

The Molygen product line comprises five glowing green motor oils that are available in the viscosities 5W-20, 5W-30, 10W-30, 10W-40, and 5W-40. Plus, with the Molygen Motor Protect there is also a wear protection additive that offers additional protection for the motor.

LIQUI MOLY is the best oil again for the readers of German trade journal ‘Profi Werkstatt’

September 2016 – Year after year German car drivers vote LIQUI MOLY as the best oil brand. The brand is top not just for car drivers, but also commercial vehicle pros. The readers of the German trade journal ‘Profi Werkstatt’ have decided for the second time that LIQUI MOLY is the best oil brand. The prize was awarded at Automechanika in Frankfurt.

‘In a market dominated not by demand, but by the offer, brands play a very important role. Brands offer orientation and provide an emotional extra use during the buying decision. Our readers come into contact with them in their everyday working lives and know exactly which brand they trust’, says Thomas Pietsch, Chief Editor of Profi Werkstatt, during the award at the most important automotive aftermarket exhibition, Automechanika, in Frankfurt.

That’s precisely why LIQUI MOLY Marketing Manager Peter Baumann gives so much importance to the title defense in the category ‘oils and lubricants’: ‘Profi Werkstatt readers are experts. They have high demands of brands and their performance. Top quality for products is just one aspect that they value. First-class service is just as important to them.’ And this manifests itself at the oil and additive specialist in personal support by experts for experts. ‘This added value differentiates us from the competition and therefore makes the LIQUI MOLY brand attractive,’ says Peter Baumann. ‘We have allowed the main ingredients of our recipe for success in the car sector to flow into the recipe for our commercial vehicle division. The award for best professional workshop brand confirms to us that we have taken the right route and to follow this road to success.’

In cooperation with Messe Frankfurt the technical publication ‘Profi Werkstatt’ awarded a brand preference picture of their readers for the second time. There were 218 brands to choose from in 20 categories. A total of almost 23,000 votes were submitted.

HyPER product line receives the new Bosch Rexroth approval RDE 90235

September 2016 – Outwardly, hydraulic oils do not seem very different, yet their working potential varies hugely. Only the highest performing oils receive the approval RDE 90235 by Bosch Rexroth. The German motor oil specialist LIQUI MOLY, with its new HyPER hydraulic oils, is the first of four manufacturers worldwide to meet this highest quality standard.

Over the past few years, operational pressure and power density in hydraulic systems have increased significantly, which in turn has increased the susceptibility to wear and premature failures. This is why the quality of the hydraulic oil has an ever-increasing effect on the service life and reliability of hydraulic systems. The lubricant specialist LIQUI MOLY is responsible for this development and has subjected its HyPER hydraulic oils to the toughest test: the Bosch Rexroth RDE 90235 test. All tested oils mastered the process with flying colors. They belong to the few in the world that fulfill the highest standard. ‘The pump test introduced by Bosch Rexroth in 2015 goes far beyond that which the current DIN and ISO standards require,’ explains Roland Schmidt, Director Business Development Construction and Industry at LIQUI MOLY. The problem with these standards: They do not keep up with technical developments that have taken place in hydraulic systems over the past few years.
With the RDE 90235 it is a scientifically standardized test procedure, which checks the behavior of the lubricants and the interplay in the key components hydraulic pump and motor under realistic working conditions. ‘A test scenario completely oriented in practice,’ says Roland Schmidt. ‘Conventional tests work with 350 bar; the new standard uses up to 500 bar.’ The previous approvals by Bosch Rexroth lose their validity and are replaced by the RDE 90235. Roland Schmidt: ‘There’s no getting around oils with the new approval for machines with Bosch Rexroth hydraulics.’

The HyPER hydraulic oil series by LIQUI MOLY comprises only oils that fulfill the highest valid standard. These lubricants contribute towards a longer service life of the hydraulic components because, for example, they reduce wear to the nonferrous metals and nitrate layer of pistons and bores. At the same time, they increase operational safety and minimize the risk of breakdowns. Their improved seal compatibility minimizes unsealed points of hose connections. Even the number of burst hoses is significantly reduced. Compared with conventional hydraulic oils, HyPER hydraulic oils generally allow change intervals that are twice as long. ‘This leads to the significantly higher quality oil not simply offering significantly more technical benefits, but also being better-priced than conventional hydraulic oils,’ says the LIQUI MOLY expert.
HyPER hydraulic oils can be used in all stationary and mobile machines that require a HLP hydraulic oil. Alongside the Bosch Rexroth RDE 90235 approval the lubricants fulfill or exceed the following specifications:

The German oil and additive specialist will introduce two new products and invites guests to an autogram event with Moto2 drivers Jonas Folger and Sandro Cortese.

August 2016 – Engine Flush Shooter and Air Filter Cleaner are the names of the two new products LIQUI MOLY will present at the Intermot in Germany. These supplements the already comprehensive motorbike line offered by the motor oil and additive specialist at the world’s second largest trade fair. Motor sports fans can also look forward to another double: Moto2 drivers Jonas Folger and Sandro Cortese will be holding an autogram session.

Small, but effective is the description for the new Engine Flush Shooter. This additive, offered in a small 80 ml can, has a great effect. The product cleans and flushes the oil circuit on motorcycles with four-cycle engines. The practical aspect: The contents is precisely measured for use in small engines with a maximum oil capacity of two liters and there is nothing left in the can to store in some corner. LIQUI MOLY recommends cleaning the oil circuit before each oil change, so that the fresh motor oil is added to a clean engine where it can develop its maximum performance.

Cleaning up is also the specialty of the Air Filter Cleaner, the second new product at the exhibition booth. This degreaser was developed especially for treating all state-of-the-art foam-type air filters. It is simultaneously very thorough for removing dirt and extremely simple to use: Remove filter, spray on, allow to soak, wring out filter and reinstall.

LIQUI MOLY is one of the few manufacturers of additives especially for motorcycles. More than one half century of experience with additives for fuel, oil and cooling circuit guarantee optimum quality ‘Made in Germany’. A special workshop concept customized to meet the special requirements of motorbike customers, also distinguishes LIQUI MOLY among numerous suppliers of chemical products for motorcycles.

“Our customers can select from a comprehensive line of products and services. Lubricants, additives, service and care products, everything from one company. This is part of our success”, confirmed Carlos Travé. The General Manager for 2-Wheel Products is responsible for LIQUI MOLY’s motorbike business worldwide.

On October 4th the Intermot will open its doors for journalists. The exhibition will be open to the public from October 5th to 9th in Cologne. LIQUI MOLY will be displaying its products in Hall 6.1, Aisle E, Booth No. 031. The autogram session with Jonas Folger and Sandro Cortese will take place on October 5th.

Practical and clean storage of oils in garages – to be showcased at Automechanika Frankfurt

August 2016 – Many independent garages often suffer from the problem of needing to stock lots of different special oils but not having enough space to store them. One solution is the oil cabinet from LIQUI MOLY, now available worldwide. It has space to safely and cleanly store twelve different types of oil ready for use. LIQUI MOLY will showcase their oil cabinet at Automechanika in Frankfurt (Germany).

The metal cabinet has space for either twelve 20 liter canisters or eight 20 liter canisters and two 60 liter barrels. Which means that you can clearly and handily store lots of different types of oil in a space-saving way. The canisters are stored lying down rather than standing up which means they can be taken out quickly and without the risk of dripping oil. And if some does happen to drip it will land in the galvanized collection tray. The door has built in pockets for storing additional labels, oil guides and other documents. The oil cabinet is also lockable, so no oil can disappear. All this makes it a clean, secure and environmentally friendly cabinet.

The oil cabinet has been a top seller in Germany for years. Year after year hundreds of garages choose to buy them. Cabinets are not part of oil and additive specialist LIQUI MOLY’s core business but the company has traditionally placed great importance on not just selling their core range but on also stocking items that help their customers to use their products and so to earn money. Package solutions such as the oil cabinet make the working day in garages easier.

Until now the oil cabinet has only been available in Germany and a few other countries. But this successful idea from Germany will now be available to the whole world. The oil cabinet concept will be showcased for the international market at Automechanika in Frankfurt, the biggest automotive aftermarket trade show.

Automechanika in Frankfurt will take place from the 13th to 17th of September. LIQUI MOLY can be found in hall 9.1 at booth C06.
